When we opened our shop in 1982, we wanted to provide our community with one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces made right here in our workshop. Since then, we've become known for our artisan designs, as well as our appraisals, restoration services, and friendly staff. Many of our team members have been with us since the very beginning, making the experience of visiting our shop as unique and local as the piece you'll take home.

I've been looking for a delicate gold chain that I can wear daily, but wasn't really sure where to start and looking online wasn't giving me enough of an idea of how the necklace would look. I've walked by this shop many times, but was so happy I finally went in today. The staff there made it such a fun and enjoyable experience and were so helpful. After talking to the gentleman about what I was looking for, he picked out a few pieces that were perfect - he just knew! But it was also nice that I was free to look at many different types as well. I really love the chain I purchased and being in there made it feel like a special occasion. I think sometimes going into a jewelry store can be a little intimidating or stuffy, but not here. I was as casual as can be and I felt welcomed + they acknowledged me by my name throughout which I thought was very nice. “I have a necklace that needing repair after a different jeweler messed up a repair. I stopped at L'Oliphant Fine Jewelry and they were extremely attentive, reasonably priced and they replaced the clasp in a timely manner. Fast forward, my necklace needed to be cleaned, I stopped in and asked if they could clean it for me, and without blinking, and with a smile, they cleaned it for me. I was so HAPPY to have it cleaned, my necklace has special meaning, I wear it every day, and when I asked how much it was, there was no charge. Great Customer Service, great skilled jeweler. I felt very taken care of and was HAPPY when I left.”

What a WONDERFUL find! I had a ring that I bought from a local jeweler in Costa Rica, and I couldn't find anyone who was willing to gold-plate it. I called here randomly and was SO pleasantly surprised. The gemologist told me to come on in same day and she quickly assured me that they would be able to take care of me. They were able to resize and gold plate my ring and they did an incredible job!! It looks even more beautiful than I imagined. Super happy!! I'll definitely be back for other custom jewelry.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I'm not sure it's possible to write in this small online space just how much I love and appreciate this business. My fiancé surprised me with my engagement ring from here. The ring itself is stunning, and I'm so very pleased with their work. We came in soon after the engagement so I could meet them, say hi, tell the happy engagement story, etc. Even though I had yet to have met them, it felt like going in to catch up with old friends, because of their hospitality. I don't feel like I'm a walking dollar sign to this business - they care about each and every customer here. To sweeten it even further, I had a bit of a mishap in briefly misplacing my ring and they were quick to discuss options and do everything they could to make a less-than-ideal situation, just a little bit better (the ring was found - all is well). On top of all this, they encourage me to bring it in every 3-4 months for free cleaning and to make sure everything is still perfect with the ring - all of which I appreciate. Basically, they're incredibly talented with a down-to-earth vibe, yet still professional, and it feels like coming in to say hi to good friends when I come in to get my ring cleaned. This is a long review to ultimately just repeat that I HIGHLY recommend this place for any and all jewelry needs.”

I love this place!! BJ and Danna and Ken are all great people and very good at what they do. I have been going here for years and BJ & Danna have both helped me to design and to fabricate my crazy design ideas. I have re-worked and recycled so many pieces that were just sitting there never worn into gorgeous jewellery that I now wear all the time They are also dispensers of wisdom from time to time, and Maggie the Great Dane is a delight. Their curated selection of jewellery, by both BJ and other talented jewellery makers is wonderful, and most of the time I walk out with something gorgeous. Furthermore, there is a wide price range of items to choose from, so I don't always break the bank with my purchases! Thanks you guys

Our experience with BJ and L'Oliphant has been nothing but great. We actually visited over 2 years ago to just explore the idea of a mokume gane ring. BJ was super patient and great at explaining all the different options and choices.
2 years later, when we moved back to the LA area and were ready to buy the ring, she was just as helpful. She gave us training rings (sterling silver 'disposable' ones) to help us learn/understand how our fingers change over different situations since we've both never worn rings before. We nailed down our sizes and a couple of weeks later the rings arrived and they turned out great.

“This place is great! We ordered my ring about a month ago (since it was custom) and we just picked it up today!! Just amazing. When we first went in the sized me up and gave me a loaner ring to wear to make sure that the custom one would fit. And right now it fits like a dream! I'm thrilled that we had our wedding rings made at L'Oliphant! Danna was fabulous to work with and really went the extra mile to make sure that we found beautiful rings that we will love and that will be comfortable. I have large knuckles, so most rings that fit over my knuckle will spin like crazy on my finger. The ring that BJ created has a special curved interior that allows me to slip the ring over my knuckle without having the spinning issue! Their customer service is phenomenal and their prices are excellent. We'll be back!
